Improve your Writing by means of Article Writing

I am not really into writing about some stuff for the reason that for me, I find it boring. That is why before, when I was thinking of a sideline job, blogging was not in my options (you can actually get paid for making a blog for a company). This is probably because I have no experience in writing even back when I was a kid. Just so you know, I have the worst handwriting during my class. Actually, even now, my handwriting still sucks. Good thing computers are here to make our life easier. I can just type what I want and before I know it, I’m done making an article. So I said before I’m not into writing, right? What changed my mind?

Simple, I can give you three reasons. First is, I’m learning new things when I do an article to a certain topic such as gadgets, careers, and anything under the sun. Second, improving my new skill,. like I said, I have no experience doing this sort of thing but I’m always open for a new challenge and Lastly, a source of income. Since I am looking to get extra cash, this would be an opportunity to practice my new found skill and at the same time, get paid. So how do you improve your writing skill?

The first time I wrote an article, it was kind of easy for me since the topic is something that I know. But that is not always the case. There are times when the topic that is being assigned is something that is new to me or something that is way out of my knowledge. If that is the case, researching will be the solution. You can get ideas from the news, the internet, and books. You can also do an interview with people who can help you out with your article. Just remember one thing when you are including something in your article from your reference. Always include that person or that particular site or book where you got that idea by putting an open and closed quote in that part. That doesn’t mean the content of your article is not ordinary. It just means you’re sharing the resources that you found to your readers. Some writers that have their article in the newspapers do this as well.

Another thing that you need to consider in writing an article is being professional on its content. When you write an article, think of it as if you’re writing a semi-formal letter and as much as possible, use words that readers would understand. Avoid using slang language (such as “ayt”, “ok”, or “wachathink?”) You don’t need to be too serious about your article, unless you want your readers to get bored. Imagine as if you’re just making a conversation to your friends. You talk about one topic and you share opinions. That’s the same thing in article writing, only you’re the only one sharing your opinion to the readers.

If you want to learn writing an article and improve it, you can start by creating your own blog and just talk about anything. As you move on, try to pick a topic that interest you and make an article about it. It could be about your hobby or about your personal life if you’re comfortable sharing it. Once you find it easy doing this, then you can move on about other topics that will challenge your new skill.

Philippines Presidentiable Election 2010

Two months to go the Philippines will have a new president, the leader that all Filipinos are relying for. Almost every elections all politicians are promising for change, promising for education, promising for poverty, promising to kill graft and corruption, and many more. But when they elected do you think they will do what they had promised? I doubt! What we need is the leader who will not win by means of popularity, a leader who will not win by means of other people whom are relying, but the leader who has word! A leader that concerns to the big and the main issues like the population control that leads to hunger, food and water shortage, traffic (yeah traffic more jeepneys, buses, taxi’s, and private vehicles), lack of education (due to crowded schools). Remember this stupid P%!3$+, God commanded to multiply humanity to first adam and eve (because they are only 2 that time), and for Noah and his family (because they are only people left that time). The second main concern for me aside from population is the natural resources, we need to enriched the trees, plants, fruits and vegetable, and stop the smoke belching and chemicals dump by those factories.

To my fellow Filipino please vote wisely don’t ride on the popularity contest! Please watch out for my next blog about the Presidential candidate, I will discuss it one by one.

My Predictions Not Happening

I always laugh when my prediction turned out opposite, I think that is because I conclude too early. Anyways I have a lot of predictions in this blog that not happened and here are those:

1) Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Top Five:
True winner: Melai, Paul Jake, Jason, Johan, and Tibo
My Prediction: Paul Jake, Tibo, Yohan, Mariel, and Mommy Kat

I personally chose the top five that I want due to their stand point and I came to a conclusion in the vital episode of Pinoy Big Brother Double up where the Resback Attack happened. The task was clear and Melason plus Hermes chose not to participate to the task with illogical reason of friendship (hello that was a competition if you want to make friends then go out to the house).

2) 35th season of PBA All Filipino Cup Championship
True Winner: Purefoods Giants 4-0
My Prediction: Alaska Aces 4-0

Since 1995 the time when Jeffrey Cariaso were still a rookie that was the time I begin to watch PBA and learn the basketball as sports as well. We all know how great Tim Cone Coach was winning 12 championships in his career and the most winningest coach in the entire PBA history. For me it is a more confident conclusion I made because this conference they are number one in the league and already swept Barangay Ginebra 4-0 so what will you expect? Then I lost again another prediction also lost a bet to a friend hahaha.. Alaska Aces did not play more heart in this championship game they played with a lot of confident (like Lakers) that is why they were easily beaten by hungry and heart working Purefoods Giants.

3) Kobe Bryant 2009-2010 Season MVP

I have made again an early conclusion, we all know how Kobe Bryant played before sitting for 5 games. Playing with multiple injuries and still getting the same Kobe Bryant energy. But after the 5 games of sitting when he came back to play again the Los Angeles Lakers struggled they Lost 2 back to back games (as this moment I am writing this article). And the Laker players were right they had beaten by the strong teams this season including the season sweep by the Claveland Cavaliers. I think Lakers is not playing with perseverance because of the fact they know their team is strong and can win another championship.

Alaska vs Purefoods PBA All Filipino Championship Finals

The 35th season of Philippine Basketball Association PBA Finals will be on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 and it will be the Alaska Aces versus the Purefoods Giants. As we recall the top 2 teams in the PBA this season were Alaska Aces and San Miguel Beermen but the power house San Miguel Beermen drops to their semi finals opponent Purefoods Giants. While the Alaska Aces swept another power house team Ginebra Gin Kings.

In my personal opinion the Alaska Aces will be the champion of 35th All Filipino Finals. Why? Because they are my favorite team since 1995 and also they are executing basketball with perfection and the intelligence in every play exists.
